The Forge Council

Counsel
Without Apology

Private counsel for men. Your situation, a direct answer, scripture on the table — no hedging, no therapy-speak, no apology.

You’ve Asked Before

You’ve asked the church, and you got a sermon that apologized for itself.

You’ve sat in the counselor’s office and discovered the session had one defendant — you. No accountability in the other chair. No plain reading of the text. Just a professional trained to send you home quieter than you came in.

So most men do what you’ve probably done: carry it alone. The quietly resisting wife. The church you can’t find. The divorce you didn’t choose. The son you’re trying to raise against the current. The question you can’t ask out loud on a Sunday.

You don’t need another sermon. You need a straight answer.

II

What This Is

The Forge Council is private counsel, man to man.

You lay out your situation in writing — plainly, all of it. I take it seriously, I take it to the text, and I give you a direct answer: what I see, what Scripture actually says about it, and what I would do in your position. Then a next action, because counsel that ends in diagnosis isn’t counsel.

The Written Brief
→ Private Video

You submit your situation; within five business days you get a video recorded for you alone — typically 15–20 minutes, unlisted, yours to keep. No scheduling, no small talk, no clock running while you find the words.

The Live Hour

Sixty minutes, face to face, for the situation that needs a conversation — follow-up questions, pushback, the whole board on the table.

What This Is Not

I am not a therapist, a licensed counselor, or an attorney. That is the point — and it’s also the boundary.

You’re not paying for credentials from the institutions that failed you. You’re paying for the judgment of a man who’s been married over two decades, raised four children, served his country, built his businesses, and answers to God alone — no man pays my bills, so no man buys my answer.

But hear the boundary as clearly as the offer: this is biblical counsel and one man’s judgment — education and opinion, not professional services. If your situation involves divorce filings, custody, or accusations, you need a licensed attorney in your state, and I will tell you so to your face. If you or someone in your home is in danger, you need emergency help today, not a video from me. I hold that line in every answer.

How It Works

  1. I

Submit your brief. The form asks for your situation in plain words. You will not shock me.

  2. II

I answer. Video within five business days, or we book the Live Hour.

  3. III

You act. Every answer ends with a next action. What you do with it is on you — that’s your office, not mine.

V

The Guarantee

If the answer is worthless, say so and I’ll refund it. I don’t want your money if I didn’t help you.

VI

Who Answers

I’m Mike. Twenty-two years married. Father of four. Veteran. Business owner. I run The Heroes’ Forge, where thousands of men have heard the text read without apology — and where, for a year, the same questions have stacked up in the comments waiting for more than a reply box.

This is the reply.

Questions Men Ask

Can I ask about anything?

Yes. The categories on the form cover what men ask most — marriage, church, fatherhood, divorce, starting over, business — but the door is open. If I’m not the man for your question, I’ll say so and refund you.

Is this pastoral care or church discipline?

No. I’m not your elder and I won’t pretend to be. I’ll often tell you to take something to your elders — with the verses in hand.

Will my question be shared?

Never with your name or details. If you gave permission on the form, a fully anonymized version may be answered publicly so other men benefit. If you didn’t, it stays between us. Either way you’re answered the same.

What if my wife wants to hear it too?

The video is yours; show it to whoever you lead.

You’ve heard the diagnosis. This is the “what now.”
